We participated in our town's yard sale today and I think it was a great success. We made a whopping $36 for our efforts 2 years ago so we didn't throw one last year. This year I googled yard sale tips like crazy and I think it really helped. Plus, it was fun!~

Watch your mail!

I received an envelope from Walgreens in the mail this past week with a check for $25 in it. Well, I'm sure you know where things like this usually go in our house - to the shredder! But it turns out it was just another form of a transfer your prescription and get $25 to spend at Walgreens.

I wasn't sure if they would take it, but it turned out to be very easy to use. I transferred my prescription and gave them the check when I picked it up. When it was time to pay they put the check through their little machine and it printed a verification code on it. After that I was able to do my shopping and take the verified check to the front register and use it to pay for my groceries. Sweet!

Great deal on peanut butter!!!

Well, my first trip to Walgreens of the new year went very well. I quit going to Wags for a while because it seemed that they never had anything in stock. However, I was able to go to a different location this week and they were awesome! Had lots of product and were very friendly!

I was able to get some soda (so bad for you, I know!), 8 jars of peanut butter and a neat-o lavender eye liner with my gift card and will get $10 back on my gift card for buying a monthly FAR. Woo-Hoo!

Got a Nerve Block on my Hump-Day

Well, I had a bilateral occipital nerve block done today for my greater occipital nerve migraines that I have. Not fun. I had my Daddy take me today, good ol' dad. :0) Even though I'm 25 years old, he still bought me a strawberry milkshake after it was all over. It was still soooo good, too, lol!

Everyone was so nice at the Surgicare office, but I still bawled my eyes out the whole time, lol. I go back in 2 weeks and possibly 2 weeks after that, but we'll see how it goes. The nerve blocks are quite unpleasant, to say the least, but its better than the Death by Migrain that happens every few days around here. I hope I can get it together enough to get some good deals in this week. *sigh*

You want to hear something crazy? You know those $/$$ CVS coupons we all crave? It seems like the last 5 times I've gotten one of those in an email, I haven't used it! Its like they magically send them to me when I can't make it to CVS for some reason or another. Oh, well. Win some, lose some, I suppose. But it still makes me cranky. Grrr.

Well, here it is. The big 'B'.

I've decided to try my hand at blogging. I've actually made a New Year's resolution for 2009 and here's hoping we can stick to it! We are taking the frugal challenge!

Doesn't that sound exciting?! This is the year to waste not, want not; to make do or do without; to...well, you catch my drift.

We are a family of 4, my husband and I, and our 2 boys. We also have one very sassy red mackeral tabby. Or, in plain English, a fat orange cat named Pumpkin. Well, he's not really fat, he's just pleasantly plump from all the Whisker Licken's he scarfs down!

Follow us in our journey to dump our debt by shopping the sales, using the coupons, and following my friend Tammy's advice that, "If you don't need it, leave it!"
