My First Freezer Cooking Day!

I've admired Money Saving Mom and FishMama's Freezer Cooking for some time now. I think they are both remarkable ladies who have made great Christian (and mom!) role models for me. So I decided to join their Freezer Cooking Day for April. Being as this was my first time to do this I started out very small. But I now have Lemon Bars in the fridge for Easter and 2 of FishMama's lasagnas in the freezer for whenever! I'll try to get some pics up after awhile, for now I'm kicking back!

CVS Trip May 2nd

Woo-Hoo! I am pumped! I've had a desperate need for chocolate lately but I haven't let myself splurge...enter CVS. They had a Dove/Mars ECB deal to get $5 ECB wyb $15 worth! Ha-lle-lujah!

Sorry there are no pictures, but I was on a roll so everything got put away quickly. I was pretty proud of myself since normally I burst through the doorway, drop everything on the kitchen floor and collapse on the sofa to recoperate!

Town Wide Yard Sale - A personal best!

We participated in our town's yard sale today and I think it was a great success. We made a whopping $36 for our efforts 2 years ago so we didn't throw one last year. This year I googled yard sale tips like crazy and I think it really helped. Plus, it was fun!~

Watch your mail!

I received an envelope from Walgreens in the mail this past week with a check for $25 in it. Well, I'm sure you know where things like this usually go in our house - to the shredder! But it turns out it was just another form of a transfer your prescription and get $25 to spend at Walgreens.

I wasn't sure if they would take it, but it turned out to be very easy to use. I transferred my prescription and gave them the check when I picked it up. When it was time to pay they put the check through their little machine and it printed a verification code on it. After that I was able to do my shopping and take the verified check to the front register and use it to pay for my groceries. Sweet!
